Too FAT? are you?

Hello my curious readers. I am sure that you already know the importance of setting goals. This helps us to stay focus and track how we  are geeing on. My question to myself today was, what was the best way to measure my body fat? I have a bathroom scale which has a B.F faction, however I am not convince that was the best way. I so i went out hunting and here is a list of different methods.

I was piratically interested in the Calipers so that might be my next investment or shall i say my 1st reward of my fist 4 weeks of my INSANITY program.

But the question i have for you is, are your goal realistic? Here is a snip bit of information i dag up from bodybuilding.com (btw awesome site for all sorts of training information if you wanna go hardcore like i do ;)  )

How Low Is Too Low?

It is generally impossible to achieve a body-fat reading of below three-percent. Even under conditions of starvation, the body will maintain a degree of fat to support vital organs (essential fat). It is thought that about three-percent of a man's body-fat is essential.
Women need more essential fat for child bearing and other hormone related functions (the average woman's essential body-fat is around 12-percent). Essential fat is stored in the bone marrow, around the internal organs, and in the brain and spinal cord.
The average male (aged 20-30), according to statistical norms, will hold between 13-16 percent body-fat. Bodybuilders and other fitness adherents, on the other hand, tend to go much lower, but still generally do not go any lower than four-six-percent to achieve their best conditioning.

Like i mentioned before, set yourself realistic, un-fail-able goals. They are there to motivate you to keep pushing, not to set you up to fail!!!! Keep pushing!!!

How to workout during 1hr lunch break

Did I hear you say “working out at my lunch hr is too hard, too rush, too busy!!!” “I cannot work out at lunch”

I hope my photo will inspire you and help you think otherwise.

I primarily work out during my lunch hour. It  gets me away from my desk and I switch out of office mode completely, plus it allows me to break away from  my co-workers/ work to focus on myself. ME. These picture were taken just after my lunch workout today.

I find when I hit the gym at lunch time, I focus better on my work out, I push harder and I don’t waste any time. I don’t notice how busy the place is, I don’t notice people staring, I notice nothing but the way my heart beats the way I breath.

Every second counts, if you think you cannot hit the gym at lunch time, that is because you have convinced yourself that is the case.

P90X testimony

I don't need to defend myself why i hit the gym the way i do when i was on P90X. The results speaks through me and all the people out there who has been bringing it. It helped many people to get to a healthier place. A fitness level they have never thought possible.

Decided Commit and Succeed.

I hope videos like this will inspire you, and urge you to start a way of life that you didn't know it existed, didn't realise that you have what it takes.
YOU ARE THE REASON.

Motivation to workout

I am so happy to see that my crazy stubbornness toward a fitter me has rubbed off on a number of people around me (well… just a couple)

Allow me to introduce you a friend of mines who has began her journey. She is truely a Diva in progress Diva in Progress

I belive that every one of us is a Mater piece in progress, as long as we are putting in the work, there is no rush to the finish line. How long it takes is entirely up to us. How fast, how far; how hard we want to push is up to us.

Start off by setting yourself a un-fail-able goal and achieve that goal. Make yourself accountable.

By achieving your un-fail-able goal, your motivation will be boosted to push harder and dig deeper. Raise the bar on what YOU CAN achieve!

WE ARE MASTER PIECES in progress!!!! Hear me ROAR!!!!

INSANITY vs P90X

Hello curious readers! Yes I have been away for a while and thank you for checking in. So just some quick updates from the pass month:
  • Yes, my sister was a bridezillas, I managed to keep my cool on her wedding day and now she is happlied married
  • Yes, I completed my P90X LEAN, and yes, i have taken some after shots
  • Yes I know I know. It's my bad for not posting the photos when i said i would.....
  • Yes I promise I will have the photos up by close of the week. PROMISE!!!!
Something new with my fitness world:
and this brings me to the subject of this blog.

Insanity is a hardcore Cardio work out, it is not easy (and i am saying it on day 2), even the fit test which only consisted of 8sets of 1 min exercises had my heart racing, needless to say that the "warm up of the Day 2 workout had me dripping with sweat, so much so that the floor requires mopping to prevent a fatal accident (such as heart attack, busted lung or simply passing out and apologies for being so graphic about the sweat). BUT why oh why are many people out there compare P90X with INSANITY???!!!??? Why are we comparing Apples with Oranges????

One is to melt the fat off mainly by the means of Cardio workout, the other is to show you how to built more muscle, gain strength and the muscle in turns burn more fat when you are resting.

Love the programs for what they are, love the new challenges it puts on your body. They are both master pieces in their own rights.

The most important of all is YOU. You putting the hard work in and sweating it out! NO ONE can take that credit away from YOU. To me, that is the most important point of all. That is what i choice to focus on.

Stay strong and do what you can to push your limits!
